As from 1st April 2016 Cliff is taking well deserved retirement. We have worked together for over 10 years and during that time his companionship, good humour and care has made a massive contribution to the success of Southcot Services Ltd; Molly and I will miss him even though he will be popping back in to help occasionally. I know that over the years he has made friends amongst many of you so I thought I would create a place where people could leave good wishes and comments for him.

Please note that Cliff is not aware I’m doing this so please don’t spoil the surprise. You should also note that I will be moderating submissions and I retain the right to disallow comments if in my opinion they are inappropriate.

Dear Cliff
Thanks so much for all those nice little invoices you send me every month - now that you're retiring does that mean they will stop coming? 😉 Seriously, I assume you're retiring so that you can do more skydiving, rally driving, hang-gliding and extreme ironing rather than sit with Charlie all day in the office - I fully understand. Please accept our very best wishes and we do hope to see you from time to time in between your extreme sporting activities.

All the best, Neil, Bridget & Hugo

Good Luck Cliff. May the road be gentle and the sunshine long.

Well, knowing you, you'll probably be busier than ever now that the official stamp of approval has been attained. Hopefully we'll continue with our ad hoc public performances and who knows - I may pick you up on the Softail one evening and go for a blast! Enjoy plenty of quality time, Cliff. With greatest respect, Chris, Claire, James & George.

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for your assistance over the years!
Will be strange not to think of you beavering away in the office. Hope you have lots of fun activities lined up to fill up all that spare time you will now have 😉
But maybe the pic (from travel.com.au) will be a more accurate representation 😉
cheers from Marie-Laure in Sydney

What a journey we've been on and finally you're free to do anything and everything you fancy. You would have 'served less time' for some heinous crime of course but it's been a blast and I can't help but smile about the adventure we've all been on; I only hope you can laugh too and are none the worse for the 'tight scrapes' and 'seat of the pant' stuff that Charlie is so good at.
Have a well-earned break now - write more books, gate-crash more gigs and take on more adventures - and I look forward to seeing more of your moves on You Tube.
Many thanks for all the support, chats and many great laughs. Lots of love Anna

Hi Cliff

Been great working with you over the years and still very much appreciate you & Charlie making the long journey to see my fledgling band way back when.

I hope retirement is as busy or not as you want it to be.

Take care, Tony (and all at Prosolve).

Cliff, I wish you a happy retirement with plenty to keep you interested but not too fatigued. It was good to meet you and I would like to thank you for your help on the occasions we have spoken.
Remember to keep Charlie on the straight and narrow.

Wishing Cliff a well deserved happy retirement. We are the fortunate ones to have Cliff as our next-door-neighbour and value his friendship, whilst we don't live in each others' pockets, he is always there to help and to 'keep an eye' on ours, as we do with his.
Good luck Cliff,
PJ & Nora

Dear Cliff
And I need another three licenses what do you mean i've only got one left. Well those people left months ago, I didn't know I had to tell you and my printer's not working and I'm being told I can't log on as all the licences are being used and I can't get onto the server and its going slow.
I'm sure you haven't missed all of that from the peak UMIS years but your calm and professional handling of the frenzy out there (including beating your own service standards on a daily basis) helped make it the extraordinary success that it was. I really appreciated the solid support you provided and I don't think our customers have ever had it so good since.
So - good luck on your retirement Cliff although I guess you'll need to pop back for Molly's beans on toast every now and then:o)
Best wishes

Wishing you much love and happiness as you run, hop and skip the road of retirement. May that road be filled with fun, love and laughter (maybe some harmonica playing too!!!). Have a great time doing what you love to do. x x x
PS: Thank you for your everlasting efficiency throughout the years - with most of those times being more efficient than me! Enjoy.
Best Wishes

Hi there Cliff. It is surprising that we haven't met given the number of years we have known each other. However i do feel I know you very well having read your wonderful book about your life - maybe time now to do volume 2! I hope we can meet one day when I get round to seeing Charlie in Gloucester. Thanks and enjoy your retirement!
