Traditionally short domain names such as bt.org.uk have not been available for registration in the UK. Nominet, http://nominet.org.uk (who maintain the register of .uk domain names) is now releasing these for registration.
In order to maintain some order and also to make sure that people and organisations who have title say through trademarks to a domain, there are a number of steps in the release process. Phases 1 and 2 were chances for trademark holders and users to register; now we have the landrush period. For details on how the process works you can go to:-
nominet.org.uk/registrants/aboutdomainnames/reserved.
You can get a list of the available names at:-

If you think you have title or just reason for registering one of these in this Landrush period, contact us at southcot.co.uk/MailForm and we’ll register your interest.
